The new building from Danone, located in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands, has a strong focus on a comfortable working environment. Employees can influence the indoor climate via an app on their smartphone. The air handling units that were supplied for this project all have energy label A.
Two air handling units equipped with rotary heat exchangers and EC motors ventilate the office sections, while the other two air handling units ventilate the restaurant and kitchen areas.
The biggest challenge of this project was the dimensions of the air handling units. Because the building is so close to Schiphol Airport, a maximum build height was prescribed. The units were not allowed to be taller than 2,500 mm. Systemair configured these air handling units as “Monoblock” – a version without an intermediate frame but with an integrated intermediate floor. The result was a neat 2,498 mm build height.
